Diamond Packaging received certification as a women's business enterprise through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's largest third party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S.Diamond Certified As A Women-Owned Business

Diamond Packaging, a leading provider of packaging and contract packaging services, received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women Presidents' Education Organization (WPEO), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on the WBENC certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.

“Certification is important for expanding our company’s visibility among decision makers in corporate supplier diversity and procurement,” said Karla Fichter, chief executive officer of Diamond Packaging. “Our status will enable us to cultivate relationships with larger companies that place an emphasis on working with women-owned businesses.”

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the Women Presidents' Education Organization is based on a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations, and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs. ›› more

Stock Selection and Embossing - part 2 by FSEAStock Selection - pt 2
by FSEA

When designing a piece with embossing, whether single-
or multi-level, the type of stock selected is critical to ensure a clean impression. This segment is the second in a two-part series that will discuss why paper selection is so important to the overall success of the job when utilizing embossing as your design medium.

Stock Suitability

Many stock characteristics such as dry vs. coated, recycled vs. virgin, and textured vs. smooth can impact how an embossed image
will look on the finished piece. Textured stocks with embedded patterns such as linens, wovens, and ribs will actually flatten out where the image has been embossed. ›› more
